STRIMY vs VidFlow: what each one wins, without spin
VidFlow is the most complete competitor in this niche and on several fronts it is ahead. Here are the real differences, including the ones that do not favour us, so you can choose on merit rather than on marketing.

Let's start with where VidFlow wins
If any of these four is a dealbreaker for you, VidFlow is your tool and you can stop reading.
Custom domain
Their annual memberships include full white-labelling with a custom domain. On STRIMY, galleries are served on a STRIMY URL you can customise, but a custom domain does not exist: it is on the roadmap.
Gallery apps, including TV
The client can watch the delivery from an app, including on the television. STRIMY has published iOS, Android and Apple TV apps, but they are not surfaced in the gallery the client opens, so in practice they do not count.
Photos and video together
Their memberships deliver both photo and video galleries. STRIMY does video only. If you deliver both in the same gallery, that is a clear point in their favour.
Pay-as-you-go and a free tier
They offer upload packs with no recurring fee, and 10 GB free to start. STRIMY only has annual plans with a 7-day trial, so the barrier to entry is higher.
And now, where STRIMY wins
Three concrete things, not a feature list.
Knowing who watched what, by name
You grant access person by person by email and the analytics stay attributed to each one: who opened the gallery, how many times and how much of each piece they watched. Their invite-based delivery does not give you that.
Spanish invoicing, in euros
VAT, VeriFacTu compliance and a fixed price in euros. With VidFlow you pay in dollars and absorb the exchange rate and your bank's fee on every renewal.
Your space does not reset every year
VidFlow works on an annual upload quota; STRIMY on accumulated storage. If you keep a library and upload at a steady pace, you pay for what you occupy rather than for what you uploaded that year.
Where each one works out better
Their Plus plan is 35 GB a year at $19 a month, and Pro 1 TB at $79 a month. STRIMY's Pro is 2 TB at €439 a year. At low volume their free tier and packs win; at high volume, STRIMY's price per GB.
- Low or occasional volume: their subscription-free packs
- High, sustained volume: better price per GB on STRIMY
- No playback limits or bandwidth charges on either
One gallery per client, carrying your brand
Here both do the same thing and both do it well: an independent gallery per client, password protected, with no sign-up for the client. We are not going to pretend there is a difference where there is none.
- Unlimited galleries and projects
- Password and expiry per gallery
- Six templates with a style editor
The difference that really is a difference
It is the only thing in this comparison that one has and the other does not. With named access, every viewing figure is tied to a specific person: you know María opened the gallery three times and watched 80% of the film, before you call her.
- Adding, expiry and revocation per person
- Watch time and completion rate per viewer
- Downloads logged per person
Frequently asked questions
What people comparing the two ask us
Which one is better?
It depends what you need, and we genuinely mean that in several scenarios it is VidFlow. If you need a custom domain, client apps, or to deliver photos alongside video, they have it and we do not. If what matters is knowing who watched each delivery, Spanish invoicing or price per GB at high volume, then STRIMY.
Why admit what the competition does better?
Because you will find out anyway within five minutes of trying it, and by then you will have lost trust in everything else we say. We would rather you arrive knowing what you will not find.
What is the difference between upload quota and storage?
VidFlow counts the GB you upload each year; STRIMY counts what you have stored. If you upload a lot and delete as you go, their model penalises you. If you keep a library and upload at a steady pace, theirs can work out cheaper. Look at your own pattern before deciding.
Can I try both?
Yes, and that is what we recommend. They have 10 GB free and we have a 7-day trial with no card. Build the same delivery on both and see which fits how you work.
Is a custom domain on your roadmap?
It is planned, but we are not going to put a date on it. It does not exist today, and if it is a requirement for you it is better to know that before starting the trial rather than after.
